Kelly Clarkson
This is her third single taken from her fourth studio album “All I ever wanted” which has already produced her first U.K. No.1 single this year for Kelly “My life would suck without you”.
The album has sold 1.5 million copies worldwide since being released in March, Over 200,000 of those were in the U.K and Ireland alone!
It wouldn’t surprise me if this wasn’t her second No.1 – Kelly’s a master with the ole ballads (as proven with her smash hit … “Because of you”)

“Don't Let Me Down” (is rumoured to be the album's first single) was leaked on the internet last week and I really hope it’s not the first single … ‘cos it’s err…. Not that good!, however Leona’s vocals, are as ever, on top form!

Brick & Lace
Although these girls are huge in Europe and Asia, they’ve yet to make an impact in the U.K. & Ireland, but their last single: “Bad to di bone” was BRILLIANT... from me hearing the last two single’s theses girls should be HUGE.... I’m a HUGH fan!

Esmée Denters
Esmée Denters from The Netherlands originally found fame on website “Youtube” where she covered songs from: One Republic, Beyoncé, and Mariah Carey... Oh, and err... Justin Timberlake!
The only reason she’s made it on my blog is that Justin Timberlake produced it (i wonder why) ... Mmm my first question to him would be surprisingly ... “Why?” (Removing how she looks from the equation of course...)

Placebo
These guys have never been able to re-capture the success of their 1996’s singles from their debut “Placebo” album which is such a shame! Still, they remain a huge global album selling band having shifted over 10 MILLION albums!
Brian Molko is so talented with an amazin' voice and vision, his sound is just captivating!
Little Boots
Little Boots debut album “Hands” was released at the beginning of June and if you don’t own it … then you’re missing out!
It’s already been at No. 5 in the U.K. and been in the Top 20 in Ireland.
Little Boots (Real name Victoria) originally found fame back in 2000 as a contestant on “Pop Idol” and is about to embark on a promotional tour of America in hope of cracking the states!

Also in the record books is Jason Mraz with his smash hit “I’m yours”, it spends an unimaginable 70th week on the chart! This record was previously held by LeAnn Rimes’ single “How do I live” back in 1997 which spent a MASSIVE 69 weeks on the chart! (Personally I prefer LeAnn to Jason any day!)
On the album front country star George Strait (who has sold more than 73 million records) rockets straight into the No.1 spot

U2
Their previous single “Magnificent” which charted at No.79 in the U.S didn’t even get a looking in the U.K charts!
On the up side it could chart better than “Magnificent” did, as the song was used in T.V. television commercials for a new Blackberry application, called the “U2 Mobile App”, which was developed as part of “research in motion” sponsorship of the current U2 tour so more people will be familiar with the song.
Click the link to watch U2 perform it on the Letterman show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msCCBPy8iCk
Yazz
Originally released in July 1988, “The only way is up” became an instant global smash, Going to No.1 in Ireland and spending a massive five weeks at No.1 in the U.K. (ultimately became the biggest selling single of 1988).
Click on the link to hear the 2009 version! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxlHiyBewSA
The 2009 version is set to be released on 7th September!
Basshunter
“Every morning” is released on 21st September click on the below link to list / watch:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cTIoU0czbA
Basshunter exploded onto the dance scene last year with his debut single “Now You're Gone” which went on to being the 8th biggest selling single of 2008 in the U.K
I hope this isn’t the best track off the album! As it’s not a great first track from a follow up album.

Moby
“Wait for me” hasn’t performed very well on the ole charts either limping to No.44 in the UK, No.22 in the U.S. and not even getting a look-in on the Irish charts.

Tinchy Stryder
Other than the brilliant singles he’s already released:
“Number 1” … Feat N-Dubz,
“Take me back” Feat… Taio Cruz
“Never leave you” Feat… Amelle from the Sugababes
There are a few gems to be heard on here like: “Stryderman” & “Warning”.
I was surprised to hear cover versions / samples of Olive’s “You’re not alone” & Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band’s “Express Yourself” (which you’ll recognise from numerous TV adverts or from the film Mr & Mrs Smith) both are good versions.
I think Tinchy is going to beat Calvin Harris (who releases his 2nd album today) to the number one album on Sunday!

Mariah Carey
Originally scheduled for an August 25th release date then it was pushed to 15th September, now it’s suppose to arrive two weeks later on September 29th. This afternoon, Mariah’s website was updated with this message: "Mariah is putting the finishing touches on her newest album, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," and we have shifted all of our TV and promo appearances to coincide with the new release date of September 29th. We can't wait for the fans to hear the new album!!"Mariah Carey's latest single "Obsessed," reached No. 11 in the US (currently No.14)
“Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” has already stirred up controversy with the label's decision to include advertising in the CD packaging, in the form of a mini-Elle magazine featuring Carey-related content.
Back 2 the 90’s
54 jam packed hits, include pure dance classics like: Felix “Don’t you want me”, Robin S “Show me love”, JX “There’s nothing I won’t do” and of course the club classic (that is one of the best dance song EVER...) O.T. Quartet “Hold that sucker down” click the link to hear O.T. Quartet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_yUkBXVY30&feature=related (ignore the cheesy video) ~
(Who ever compiled disc 3 should be sacked, as the last 6 tracks should of been replaced with anthems like: Alison Limerick “Where love lives” or Faithless “Insomnia”!) But I suppose they never asked me for advice... plus there’s only so much you can cram onto a 3 disk CD album)
***Everyone should have this album in their collection***
Backstreet Boys

V.V. Brown
Although she’s only recently seen chart success in the UK & Ireland with Track 3: “Shark in the water” there’s by far better tracks on the album like “Game over”, "Crying Blood" and “Leave”.
She’s certainly gonna give The Noisettes a run for there money, if you like the sound of The Noisettes then V.V. Brown is a must for 2009
Tommy Sparks
Some may have seen Tommy when he was supporting Bloc Party on tour earlier this year, He’s also written a track for The Prodigy and featured on The Filthy Dukes album “Nonsense in the dark”
Track “Miracle” is brilliant! – Deffinatly worth a purchase!

Calvin Harris
Saying “you left your album on a plane, to give you an extra year of time” obviously didn’t make him produce anything better than anyone else out there!
I can’t see his single / album doing any better than the last (which was fresh and a new sound) the execption of course is "I'am not alone" ....
Eminem
Pink
This is only one of many tracks on an album full of fantastic songs!
Not only did “Pink” produce her best album of her career (so far) but also produce an amazing tour to go with it (which I’ll be re-viewing when it hits Ireland again in October)
Also check out the songs that were not released as singles (in Europe): “Bad Influence”, “Mean” & “Aye Mary A” ... a truly great album from an artist who not only isn’t afraid to speak her mind but not afraid to change and try something different!

Tinchy Stryder
Tinchey (22) scored his first UK & Irish No.1 single with N-Dubz back in April this year (it was the first time in chart history that a single titled "Number 1" actually went to No.1 - N-Dubz play "Clubland Live 3" on 1st December in The O2, Dublin)
