I think Eminem should have stayed where ever he was when he said he was “retiring”.... Eminem’s new single “Beautiful” (the 4th single of his come back album) is probably one of the worst records / singles I’ve ever heard in my life (and believe me... I’ve over 30,000 records in my collection – and this is well up there) – dreadful, pure dreadful! and by the sale's figures of his latest "relapse" album i'm not the only one thinking 50 Cent has a lot to answer for ... (bringing Eminem out of retirment)

Pink

Pink release’s her forth single “funhouse” from the multi million selling album also named “Funhouse”
This is only one of many tracks on an album full of fantastic songs!
Not only did “Pink” produce her best album of her career (so far) but also produce an amazing tour to go with it (which I’ll be re-viewing when it hits Ireland again in October)
Also check out the songs that were not released as singles (in Europe): “Bad Influence”, “Mean” & “Aye Mary A” ... a truly great album from an artist who not only isn’t afraid to speak her mind but not afraid to change and try something different!

Tinchy Stryder

Tinchy Stryder is set to land his second No.1 single in a row on Sunday. Midweek data shows the star is way ahead of the competition. "Never Leave You" feat ... Amelle (from "Sugababes") will knock Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feelin'" into second place.
Tinchey (22) scored his first UK & Irish No.1 single with N-Dubz back in April this year (it was the first time in chart history that a single titled "Number 1" actually went to No.1 - N-Dubz play "Clubland Live 3" on 1st December in The O2, Dublin)

US Charts

There’s no end to the massive successes of The Black Eyed Peas come back as they continue to hold the No.1 spot on the U.S. singles chart for a fifth week with their single "I gotta feeling" (which is currently Number 1 in the UK & Ireland singles charts).
On the album front American rapper “Fabolous” claimed his first U.S. No.1 album with his fifth release “Loso’s Way” by selling a massive 99.000 copies in the first week of release.

On Michael Jackson front, Jacko remained No.1 on the Top Comprehensive Albums with his “Number Ones” album,
Jackson's 2003 “Number Ones” sold 114,000 copies this week, (according to Nielsen SoundScan). Its total for the year now adds up to 1,370,000 copies, moving it past the "Hannah Montana: The Movie" soundtrack (selling 1,338,000) and Eminem's "Relapse" (selling 1,319,000).
Only Taylor Swift's "Fearless" (with 1,499,000) stands in Jackson's way as 2009's top seller.

Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending August 2) totaled 5.96 million units, down 4.6% compared to the sum last week (7.35 million) and down 19.4% compared to the same sales week of 2008 (7.36 million).
Year to date album sales stand at 207.7 million, down 14.2% compared to the same total at this point last year (242.2 million) in the U.S.

Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams announced his come back plans yesterday with his new album being released on 9th November titled: "Reality killed the video star"

Let's hope Robbie's back on top form and it's a better effort than his last excuse of an album: "Rudebox" (how that sold over 5 million copies is beyond me) Robbie writes on his blog: "My album's a killer: old Robbie, new Robbie and a Robbie that neither of us have met..." Mmm... we'll see about that hey Rob!

Lets hope Robbie can regain his title as the UK's biggest pop star in one of the most eagerly awaited comebacks since Britney Spears - roll on the tour in 2010!

Paolo Nutini

I've listen to Paolo Nutini's album "Sunny side up" a good few time now and would encourage you all to go out and purchase it! It's an absolute master piece if you like his single "Candy" then your going to be your element with the other tracks he has to offer and definitely deserved to go to No.1 both in the UK and Ireland charts when it was released at the end May '09

This is such a change in sound for Paolo from his debut album "These streets", it's a much more mature sound (haunting in places) and will defiantly appeal to all age groups.

Paolo is currently on tour in the US and i can't see any reason why this won't make as big an impact in the US charts as it has over here.

Will Young

Will Young is set to release his "Greatest Hits" in November (called surprisingly: "The Hits" ... Lol). My first thought was how can he release a greatest hits... given he only won "Pop Idol" back in 2002 but then i realized that he's actually has released 4 Top 5 UK albums (two going to Number 2 and 2 going to No.1 in the UK) as well as 17 hit singles (including 4 UK number 1's) going through his back catalogue i can't wait to purchase it!

His hit songs from the "Friday's Child" & "Keep on" albums were just masterpieces (Leave right now, "Who am i", "All time love" and "Friday's child")

Lily Allen

Lily Allen make's her debut at "The O2" in Dublin on Tuesday 8th December. Priority tickets for O2 customers go on sale tomorrow (5th August) and on general release on Friday 7th August, ticket prices are between €33.60 and €39.20.

Should be a great night... her current album "It's not me, It's you" is just pure brilliance.

Shakira

OMG – Have you seen the new Shakira video for her new single “She wolf”...? Is that legal to show it before 10pm (never mind 9pm) ~ Lol,
Lets just say it's very ... Err... risky!
Something tells me though that it could be heading straight to number 1 when it’s released! Video aside, it's a great summer song.

UK Charts

Black Eyed Peas climb to No.1 this week (from last weeks No.3) in the U.K. singles chart knocking JLS into second place.
This has given the Black Eyed Peas their second No.1 from their (U.K. No.3 / Irish No. 8) album “The E.N.D” which has so far sold a couple of million copies globally.
In the album charts Michael Jackson spends his 5th week at No1 with “The Essential Collection”.
