Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson has promised fans that he will return to his full creativity after being dropped by his record label.
Interscope apparently took the decision to drop Marilyn because his last album: ‘The High End Of Low’ flopped selling just 121,000 copies to date.
Manson told Metal Hammer that his creative talent was stifled under the firm. He explained: “I was so restrained from the music that I wanted to make - what they would allow, they would put out, what ideas they would allow to be conveyed in these videos. At least half of my creative output has been squashed, so now I think people can expect a whole lot more.”
For all his wackiness i actually like some of his material ...

Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue has announced she’s to release a new live album.
‘Kylie Live In New York’ will be available as a download from 14th December.
It was recorded at the city's ‘Hammerstein’ Ballroom on 13th October (the final date on Kylie’s 'For Me, For You' tour of North America).
Also, fans will be able to stream the first half of the concert on Kylie Minougue’s ‘YouTube’ page from midnight on December 12,
Kylie has released two previous live albums, 1998's ‘Intimate and Live’ and 2007's ‘Showgirl Homecoming Live’.
Kylie is currently working on her new studio album for a spring 2010 release

Shayne Ward

Louis Walsh has announced that he still has faith in Shayne Ward.
Louis, who mentored Shayne Ward on 2005s ‘X-Factor’ program before then becoming his manager, insisted that he expects the popstar to prove himself when he releases his new album next year.
Louis told The Independent: “Shayne was not a mistake. He's making an album and he's touring. I still believe in him as an artist.”
Back in September, Shayne announced that his third album had been pushed back until 2010. He also described his new material as “unbelievable”.
News of the delay led to fans of Shayne Ward staging a protest outside the studios where X-Factor is recorded over the way Shayne had been treated by Simon Cowell's record label.
It’s a shame ‘cos everyone had very high hopes for this guy 4 years ago, he certainly had the potential to become the UKs Justin Timberlake ...
There’s certainly some mismanagement gone on somewhere! I hope he does come back with a bang!

Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle’s debut album ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ continues to sell by the bucket load around the world.
Last week Susan Boyle registered upwards of 1,195,820 sales in just a week - 411,820 copies in the UK and 784,000 in the USA.
No other female has scored as big a debut in American or UK music history.
The only debut album to sell better in its first week in America was Snoop Dogg’s 1993 album which sold 803,000.
Experts say Susan (who is back home in Blackburn, West Lothian) will shift another two million copies this week.
When the royalties start rolling in she will be a millionaire many times over. The current worldwide shipment of I Dreamed is 3,361,000 - and bosses at her label are making urgent arrangements to manufacture more.
So far the album has been at No1 in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and is No2 in Holland and Argentina and No5 in Switzerland.

Black Eyed Peas

Black Eyed Peas have announced a massive 100-date 'The E.N.D' world tour, starting in Atlanta on 4^th February.

They will perform 31 shows in North America, then on to Europe in May.

The shows are first time that the group have united for a headline tour since their 2006 'Monkey Business' tour.

The tour has will reportedly also be "green", with a charitable component to be announced in the weeks ahead.

“AEG Live has always been a company that likes to execute out-of-the-box ideas. Our newest clients, The Black Eyed Peas, have defined that concept like no other group in contemporary music and culture,” AEG President Randy Phillips said.

“We expect our first hundred shows together to be a roller coaster ride that will redefine the live entertainment experience as only the Peas can.”

The Black Eyed Peas have played over 300 headline tour dates in 29 countries with over 2.2 million tickets sold.

The Killers

The Killers announced yesterday the release of their new Christmas single in support of World AIDS Day.

The Killers have released 'Happy Birthday Guadalupe' online in accordance with the (RED) charity.

All proceeds from the track will go to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa.

The song is The Killers' fourth annual Christmas single

“We're thrilled to be releasing our fourth Christmas song with (RED),” front man Brandon Flowers told NME. "(RED), through the Global Fund programmes it supports, has made great strides in providing care to those affected by AIDS throughout Africa, and it's our honor to continue to contribute to that cause.”

Ciara

Ciara has reportedly started recording her fourth studio album.
She’s teamed back up with producer Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins, who also worked on her last BRILLIANT album ‘Fantasy ride”.
“Me and Ciara cookin up a hot melodic uptempo right now! Its feelin like one of them thangs (sic),” Jerkins wrote on his Twitter.
Ciara has also been working with The-Dream and Christopher 'Tricky' Stewart on the record, which is yet to be given a name or release date.
Can’t wait!

Leona Lewis

Leona Lewis reportedly has two songs in the running to be included in the ‘Best Original Song’ category at the Oscars next year.

The singer's current track ‘Happy’ is used in the new Oprah Winfrey-produced movie Precious while she has also recorded the theme song, ‘I see you’ for the upcoming James Cameron film Avatar.

Leona Lewis said that she felt privileged that 'Happy' was chosen to be featured in Precious.

“I'm just so proud of it, 'cos I wrote it, and to be associated with a film like Precious, which is about trying to overcome troubles and trials in your life. I'm glad that someone got that message,” she told the Daily Star.

She went on to descirbe the theme song for Avatar as "epic" and praised director Cameron.

“I only saw a half-hour clip of the film,” she said. "It's not finished yet and it's insane, awesome. I heard the song - great lyrics, very, very epic."

“So I went in and I did it. And then they played it to James and he phoned me up and said: 'Oh, my God. I love you!' He's so cool.

“I had this perception that he was going to be totally untouchable and unreachable. But he's just like your nice uncle. He's lovely.”
