Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga (whose first two albums ‘The Fame’ and ‘The Fame Monster’ both topped the UK album charts) - affirmed plans to make her third record a marked departure from her current style.
She told MTV News: “Well, I'm going to write new music... that's the beauty of writing your own music - you don't have to rely on songwriters and producers to write hit songs for you. So I'm going to write a new album and I'm going to have new ideas.”
Lady Gaga is currently performing on her ‘Monster Ball’ world tour, which she said she hopes will allow her songwriting style to “evolve” and give her music “a new sonic energy”.
She said: “Most certainly I have no f**king clue what they're going to be yet, because I'm just starting this tour, and I wrote The Fame Monster during the last tour. So, I assume that it will inspire some kind of new sonic energy and lyrical style. “I find The Fame Monster to be completely different than The Fame. I've evolved, but artists should evolve. In the '70s and the '60s, artists evolved all the time - from album to album the music was changing, the feeling was changing, the artists seemed almost entirely different than who they were five or six years before.”
Can’t wait for album No.3 ... it’s like once i hear something new from her, and need ever more ... it kind of reminds me of Madonna back in the day!
You can see Lady Gaga at The O2, Dublin on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st February log onto http://www.ticketmaster.ie/ or http://www.o2blueroom.ie/ for details!

Ace of Base
Jenny has performed with the Swedish band since 1987, but she posted on her Twitter page: “Merry CHRISTmas! Check out jennyberggren.com! I've played so many roles, now I will start my own way. Follow me. Luk 2...”
Jenny’s new website contains a video montage of her career with Ace of Base, before she announces: “Now I wanna reveal my story” and a solo video plays.
Ace of Base began their pop career as a four-piece - Ulf Elkberg and siblings Jenny, Jonas and Malin Berggren - before continuing as a trio when Malin departed the group in 2007.
Jenny confirmed that Ace of Base will now proceed as a duo, writing: “Meanwhile, the boys in the band are doing their musical thing, as I do mine. We wish each other the best of luck and work for the future. My hopes are that we can work together in the future, when I have proven myself as a solo artist.”
Earlier this year Ulf Elkberg annouced that Ace of Base had completed a new studio album - their first since 2002 - but were debating whether to “add a fourth member to the group again or to bring it out under a new name”
Ace of Base have sold more than 50 million records during their two-decade recording career, notching up 12 UK Top 40 hits with songs including ‘All That She Wants’, ‘The Sign’ and ‘Don't Turn Around’ as well as a string of U.S Hits!

Rachael Stevens has five of her seven solo singles go into the UK Top 10, ‘Sweet Dreams My La Ex’ and ‘Some Girls’ both peaking atNo.2, but she has remained absent from the release schedules since her second album, Come And Get It, stalled at number 28 in October 2005.

Boyzone, had recorded a number of new songs before the passing of Stephen Gately in October, revealed that they have recently been working to finish the record.
Shane Lynch said “We have been locked in 24/7 for most of the past few weeks working on the album, As this is our comeback album, we shopped all the songs out to the best writers to make it as good as we possibly could, so I think it's going to be amazing... “I would describe it as having a live band sound, kind of like Coldplay meets U2.”

The twins, 41, said that they are interested in a one-off comeback with bass player Craig Logan.
Speaking at a party in West Hollywood, Luke told ‘The Sun’: “We want to do a show, somewhere like the O2, and then say, ‘Thanks a lot, see ya'. “If I can find a bunch of people, and Matt and I can see eye to eye with them on things we want to do, then, yes, we're doing it.
“We'd do a show that was amazing, I want it to stand up today, I don't want it to be a nostalgia-only driven thing.”

Radiohead
Ed wrote on the group's official website.“The vibe in the camp is fantastic at present, and we head off into the studio in January to continue on from the work we started last summer, I am so genuinely excited about what we’re doing, but for obvious reasons I can’t divulge anything more. “Anyway we all love surprises, don't we? Ten years ago we were all collectively in the land of ‘Kid A’ and although we're hugely proud of that record, it wasn't a fun place to be. What's reassuring now, is that we are most definitely a different band, which should therefore mean that the music is different too, and that is the aim of the game. Keep it moving.”

Alicia Keys
Alicia said that she has been overwhelmed by how successful the song has become across the world: “It's always amazing as an artist to be able to be part of a song like 'Empire', You know that you feel it, but you never know what's really going to happen. To see the way that song has taken off from Spain to Rhode Island is a beautiful thing.”
“I went to the studio and heard it with this vocal already on it from the writers and I loved it. It's about the endless possibilities. I'm a very, very passionate person who feels things really deeply and Jay is the same.”
‘Empire State of Mind’ has spent the last four weeks at the top of the US Top 100. It also got to No.2 the UK and Ireland on download sales

Joe McElderry
A price war has erupted last night as fans raced to download his winning song ‘The Climb’.
Amazon and Tesco were offering it for just 29p, and their nearest rival Play.com was charging 67p.
X Factor bosses are urging 7digital.com where it can be downloaded for 99p.
A hard copy ‘CD single’ available in stores on Wednesday are expected to cost £3.99.
This is MASSIVE bad news for Simon Cowell because those which sell for less than 40p don't count in the UK Top 40 of Sunday (When it will be announced if he’s made it to No.1 for Christmas)
This is an added blow for Joe because there is a Facebook group campaigning to get Rage Against the Machine to No.1 and it currently has 732 THOUSAND members!

Reggie Yates added: “I'm so excited that ‘Top Of The Pops’ is returning to our screens this Christmas. A silly jumper, too much lunch and ‘TOTP’ make the perfect Christmas.”

Susan Boyle
Susan not only got to share a stage with her idol Elaine Paige but also got to sing a duet with her.
Susan and the West End legend performed the classic track I Know Him So Well for a Piers Morgan special I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story.
After filming at the weekend, an emotional Susan Boyle told ‘The Suns’ TV Biz: “I never thought I'd see myself standing on the same stage with such an icon from the West End theatre, let alone singing with her as an equal. I've really enjoyed myself and I'm really enjoying the show. I don't want the dream to end. In fact I want it to become a reality.”
It was only back in May when the world saw Susan Boyle on ‘Britain's Got Talent’ where she told Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan that she wanted to be as successful as Elaine it was hard for the judges and the audience not to burst into mocking laughter.
Susan shed tears of joy while Piers put his arm round her and gave her a gentle peck on the forehead.
She told the crowd: “All this was totally unexpected. All I want to do at this stage is thank everyone for their support. It's bloody fantastic.”
The show (which will also be aired in America), will also see Piers present Susan with a platinum disc for her album ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ after it has smashed almost every record going for a debut album.
Entertainment industry insiders predict it will have sold more than 4.5million copies worldwide by Sunday.

Outkast
Big Boi told Billboard the record would follow solo albums from both him and partner Andre 3000 next year, their first album since 2005's Idlewild.
“This is all in the next year or so, starting with my album coming at the top of the year, Dre 3000 right after me, and when the solo albums come out, depending on how the fans support them, then we're gonna give them the Outkast album.”
Big Boi refused to be drawn on future Outkast live dates, but said that he will hit the road alone in support of his album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty, promising the gigs would be a “high-powered funk energy extravaganza”
All i can say is lets hope it’s a success, i couldn’t bare another hit like ‘Hey Ya!’ Click the link to remember the annoying hit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wl6R8u6Zus

Mariah is due to hit the road for her 'Angels Cry' jaunt next year, according to The Prophet Blog.

Details of the dates have yet to be unveiled, but the singer will ring in the New Year with a concert at New York's Madison Square Garden on December 31.
An official tour announcement is expected later this month.

As for how they heard the news about their nomination, Kate said: “We got the news at 5am this morning as we got up to take a flight from Berlin to LA for some more shows out there. We got into our driver's car in a daze of gobsmacked-ness and forgot to take our bags to the airport, so we ended up missing our flight.”

Marilyn Manson
Interscope apparently took the decision to drop Marilyn because his last album: ‘The High End Of Low’ flopped selling just 121,000 copies to date.
Manson told Metal Hammer that his creative talent was stifled under the firm. He explained: “I was so restrained from the music that I wanted to make - what they would allow, they would put out, what ideas they would allow to be conveyed in these videos. At least half of my creative output has been squashed, so now I think people can expect a whole lot more.”
For all his wackiness i actually like some of his material ...

Shayne Ward
Louis, who mentored Shayne Ward on 2005s ‘X-Factor’ program before then becoming his manager, insisted that he expects the popstar to prove himself when he releases his new album next year.
Louis told The Independent: “Shayne was not a mistake. He's making an album and he's touring. I still believe in him as an artist.”
Back in September, Shayne announced that his third album had been pushed back until 2010. He also described his new material as “unbelievable”.
News of the delay led to fans of Shayne Ward staging a protest outside the studios where X-Factor is recorded over the way Shayne had been treated by Simon Cowell's record label.
It’s a shame ‘cos everyone had very high hopes for this guy 4 years ago, he certainly had the potential to become the UKs Justin Timberlake ...
There’s certainly some mismanagement gone on somewhere! I hope he does come back with a bang!

The only debut album to sell better in its first week in America was Snoop Dogg’s 1993 album which sold 803,000.
Experts say Susan (who is back home in Blackburn, West Lothian) will shift another two million copies this week.
When the royalties start rolling in she will be a millionaire many times over. The current worldwide shipment of I Dreamed is 3,361,000 - and bosses at her label are making urgent arrangements to manufacture more.
So far the album has been at No1 in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and is No2 in Holland and Argentina and No5 in Switzerland.
