Jay-Z remains at No.1 in the U.S album charts with “The Blueprint 3” after shifting 298,000 copies in its second week.
His performance last week in New York at the MTV Awards certainly helped. (Which my hotel where I was staying was just one block from on “Broadway”)

Overall album sales in this past week (ending Sept. 20) in the U.S totaled 6.42 million units, down 4% compared to the sum last week (6.71 million) and down 7% compared to the same sales week of 2008 (6.92 million).
Year to date album sales stand at 250.6 million, down 14% compared to the same total at this point last year (291.4 million).
