Katy Perry’s massive No.1 ‘California Gurls’ has broken a US airplay record.Her song, (which is currently No.1 in countless countries including: America, UK, Australia, Ireland & New Zealand singles charts), has received the most spins on radio over the course of a week ever.
The track was played 11,816 times last week - an average of 90 plays per station.
The figure beats previous record holders Ke$ha and Lady GaGa, who take second and third position respectively with ‘Tik Tok’ and ‘Bad Romance’.
