The Helping Haiti charity single was last night outselling its nearest chart rival by a massive four copies to one. (Official midweek sales figures are released today)It’s a dead cert that ‘Everybody Hurts’ was on course to have racked up a MASSIVE 150,000 sales by the end of last night.
Half the money raised will go to The Sun's Helping Haiti fund and the other half to the Disasters Emergency Committee.
A HMV spokes person said: “For it to sell over 100,000 copies in a day or two underlines once again the generosity of the UK and Irish public when called upon to help others.”
Retailers - including Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Marks & Spencer, Bhs, and Argos stock the single for around £3.99 / €4.99
It is available for 99p as a download only.
