Rage Against The Machine have kept their promise and confirmed details of their free gig to celebrate last year's Christmas number one.The guys will play London's ‘Finsbury Park’ on 6th June to fans following a Facebook campaign that got their single ‘Killing in the name’ as the Christmas UK No.1 (beating X Factor winner Joe McElderry's – ‘The Climb’.
Tickets for the 40,000-capacity event are expected to be distributed via a lottery system. Fans looking to register for the ballot have until midnight on 14th February enter.
Announcing the band's plans on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show, guitarist Tom Morello said: “We promised to play a free show if our song was number one at Christmas and here we come.”
