Susan Boyle’s debut album ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ continues to sell by the bucket load around the world. Last week Susan Boyle registered upwards of 1,195,820 sales in just a week - 411,820 copies in the UK and 784,000 in the USA.
No other female has scored as big a debut in American or UK music history.
The only debut album to sell better in its first week in America was Snoop Dogg’s 1993 album which sold 803,000.
Experts say Susan (who is back home in Blackburn, West Lothian) will shift another two million copies this week.
When the royalties start rolling in she will be a millionaire many times over. The current worldwide shipment of I Dreamed is 3,361,000 - and bosses at her label are making urgent arrangements to manufacture more.
So far the album has been at No1 in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and is No2 in Holland and Argentina and No5 in Switzerland.
