Arcade Fire have done the double this week storming to No.1 in the American album chart (and UK album chart) with their new album ‘The Suburbs’ after selling 156,000 copies.Taylor Swift sells a massive 297,000 downloads after being rush released due to the song being leaked on line last week.

Year to date album sales stand at 180.2 million, down 12% compared to the same total at this point last year (205.3 million).
