ReplyDeleteyour in the big bad world now ... Lol
ReplyDeleteAlan, Alan. I'm away one day and you've reverted. ONE DAY. I see that Pulitzer prize fading from my dreams. The one where you go up to accept the prize and begin your speech "Ladies and gentlemen, first I must thank my good friend Alec, Alec Lindsay without whom the polished prose you read and appreciate today would not have happened. His tireless efforts to mould a talent, a talent which only became apparent late in my life, a talent which was undeniably raw, a talent which was unrecognised by many, into one which you, distinguished Pulitzer judging panel, have found worthy of your journalism prize, are beyond praise. I owe him everything ..." And so on. Well, it's been a struggle, and one I'm probably losing. Have a really lovely day;-D love Alec
